Hi! My name is Ashley and I am passionate about serving others through hospitality. I’m mama to a squishy little boy, wife to Joshua, a home cook, food photographer and stylist. Want to know what gets me most excited? The idea of loving and serving people around food and good conversation. Nothing brings me more joy than that. Food was meant to be shared.

In June 2018 we relocated from Long Island, New York to Roanoke, Virginia where Josh began his residency. I fell deeply in love with cooking in 2014 after we were married (even before I knew my new last name, Cuoco, translates to ‘cook’ in Italian– now, how wild is THAT?) I found myself planning out meals and special weekend kitchen projects, itching to dig my hands deep into a bowl of dough (apple pie is my specialty—thanks, Grandma).

I’m a Long Island girl, born and raised. As far back as I can remember I was always creating something. Whether it was a backyard make-believe dinner party, a secret fort made of pillows or a picnic under my grandma’s apple tree, I was constantly dreaming and making things. As an adult, the creative in me landed a great job as an interior designer. Somewhere in the middle of that I actually felt that I wasn’t being creative enough. I truly craved it and the deficiency showed.

In August 2015 I started taking photos of my weekend cooking experiments and posting photos to Instagram. I created this blog overnight (literally). I immediately became infatuated with creating again. Every weekend I would make something new, always wide-eyed and excited to behold the final product, style it, shoot it and share it with the world. I’ve never looked back.

Today, my one goal is to love and serve others through hospitality. Whether it’s my own family or my clients, I strive to show compassion and mercy, kindness and love to all people—just as Jesus taught his disciples. And so much of that was then and is still done today around a table of food.

My ideal day starts with a book in bed with my little man, a freshly brewed Chemex cup and an adventure to the grocery store or antique mall.
